BBQ Pork Chops on Blackstone Griddle:

Blackstone BBQ pork chops are the perfect summertime meal. Pork Chops are seasoned and grilled on the griddle for a few minutes. Then the pork chops are basted with BBQ sauce for added flavor.

We love using our Blackstone Griddle for many recipes as everything cooks perfectly and fast. These pork chops turn out with a crispy texture but still juicy in the middle. Adding BBQ sauce gives it so much flavor and always is a family favorite.

Ingredients needed - pork chops, oil, salt and pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, BBQ sauce

Ingredients: 

  • Boneless Pork Chops (approximately 1 inch thick)
  • Avocado Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Chili Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Barbecue Sauce

How to Make BBQ Pork Chops on Blackstone Griddle: 

  • Step 1 – Marinate Pork Chops – Place all the seasoning in a small bowl.  Stir to thoroughly combine the ingredients.  Rub the seasoning mixture onto both sides of the pork chops.

  • Step 2 – Heat the Griddle – Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F). Once the grill is heated.  Spread the oil out on the grill and use a spatula to spread it around.
  • Step 3 – Grill Pork Chops – Add the pork chops to the grill on the oil.  Cook for 2-4 minutes on each side until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F and the edges are browned and caramelized.

  • Step 4 – Baste Pork Chops – Remove the pork chops from the grill. Baste the pork chops with the barbecue sauce with a basting brush.  Then allow the pork chops to rest for 5 minutes. Then they are ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

What type of Oil to Use on Blackstone Griddle?

You can use any oil with a high smoke point instead of the avocado oil.  Coconut oil, vegetable oil or canola oil would all work great in this recipe. Olive oil is another option to cook the pork chops in.

How to Cook Indoors:

These BBQ Pork Chops can be cooked indoors if you prefer. You can make them in a cast iron skillet the results will be close as if you made it on the griddle. Cook the pork chops and then base them with pork chops.

You can also bake the pork chops in a baking dish for another easy way to prepare these BBQ pork chops.

Tips for Grilling Pork Chops on Blackstone:

  • Seasoning Pork Chops – Make sure to cover the pork chops thoroughly with the simple seasoning.
  • Griddle – Griddle pork chops cooks fast and easily when the griddle is hot and oiled.
  • Don’t Overcook – Make sure to use your meat thermometer to check for doneness. If your pork chops cook to long, they can be dry and tough to eat.

How Long to Cook Pork Chops:

Cooking time will vary depending on what type of pork chops you use. We recommend using a meat thermometer to check to make sure pork chops are cooked thoroughly.

Cook pork chops about 3 minutes per side until pork are cooked.
