Yes, you can make it on the griddle. The ground beef cooks and then top it with the ketchup based ingredients for a delicious dinner. Once the ground beef, it only takes a few minutes to heat and combine everything.

- Vegetables – This recipe is delicious with added vegetables. We have added in green bell pepper and red bell pepper for added flavor and texture.
- Seasoning – Fresh vegetables are best, but if you are out you can easily use garlic powder or onion powder. Start with about a tablespoon of each, add more if needed.
- Additions – For added flavor you can easily add ingredients to the sloppy joe sauce. We suggest Worcestershire Sauce or red wine vinegar. We usually start with about ½ tablespoon and add more to taste.
How to Make Sloppy Joe on Blackstone Griddle
- Step 1 – Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
Step 2 – Brown the ground beef with the diced onion on the Blackstone grill over medium high heat until no longer pink and browned.
Step 3 – Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until the garlic is aromatic.
Step 4 – In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Top the beef with this mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
Step 5 – Heat over medium high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6 – Place the hamburger buns on the grill and cook for 1-2 minutes to brown them slightly.
- Step 7 – Remove the buns from the grill and top with the sloppy joe mixture.
