We love making breakfast on the Blackstone. We have made pancakes, French toast and breakfast sandwiches on the griddle. The large cooking surface allows us to cook all the layers directly on the griddle.

Cooking breakfast is one of our favorite Blackstone Recipe to cook on the flat top. It is perfect for feeding a crowd and a must on the weekends.

  • Cast-Iron Skillet – Make the delicious recipe on a cast iron skillet if you do not have a griddle. You can also make it any type of skillet.
  • Burger Toppings – Feel free to add your favorite toppings to make this recipe. Top with onions, peppers, and cheddar cheese. You can use any type of sauce for delicious flavor. We love drizzling hot sauce right before serving.

Recipe Tips

  • Prepare Griddle – Make sure to heat the griddle and adding oil before adding bacon. This allows for the ingredients to cook with the perfect texture.
  • Combining Meat Mixture – Combine the breakfast sausage and ground beef and form into balls. This creates a delicious burger that is full of flavor.
  • Cooking Ingredients – Cook the bacon, hashbrowns and burgers until they are fully cooked and have a crispy texture. Everything needs to be cook separately then you will build your burger.
  • Fried Eggs – Fry the eggs directly on the griddle for easy clean up. We love the flavor of the egg yolk on the burger. It gives it amazing flavor.

How Long to Cook Burgers

Cook the burger balls over medium heat for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side. We recommend smashing the burger with a burger press. Top the burgers with a piece of parchment paper before pressing with burger press.

Make sure to flip the burgers to cook both sides.

How to Store Leftovers

These breakfast burgers are best served immediately. But you can meal prep some of the ingredients and store in the fridge. We recommend serving within 3 days.

If you prefer you can place the leftover burgers in the freezer for up to 3 months. This is a great way to enjoy burger a different ways.
