Easy Blackstone Breakfast Pizza Recipe:

If you are looking for a family favorite breakfast recipe, make this breakfast pizza. It is the perfect to make on your next camping trip on your flat top griddle.

Cooking breakfast on the Blackstone is one of our favorite to cook on the griddle. We have made breakfast quesadilla, pancakes and french toast but this griddle pizza is one of our favorites.

Pizza dough, cheese, eggs, sausage, bell pepper, oil, green onion

Ingredients: 

  • Pizza Dough, crescent roll dough, store bought or homemade pizza dough
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese 
  • Large Eggs 
  • Breakfast Sausage 
  • Red Bell Pepper (diced)
  • Vegetable Oil 
  • Green Onion (diced) 

How to Make Breakfast Pizza on a Blackstone Griddle: 

  • Step 1 – Heat Griddle – Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium high heat (approximately 450 degrees F).
  • Step 2 – Roll Dough – Roll the dough into a 12 inch circle with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface.
  • Step 3 – Poke Holes in Dough – Use a fork to poke holes all over the center of the pizza dough. This is to keep it from bubbling in the oven.
  • Step 4 – Spread Oil – Spread the vegetable oil out onto the Blackstone grill.  Place the pizza dough directly on the grill.  Cook for 3-5 minutes until browned.
Preparing the pizza dough
  • Step 5 – Whisk Eggs – While the crust is cooking, whisk the eggs, milk, salt together in a mixing bowl. 
  • Step 6 – Cook Eggs – Add eggs to the opposite side of the grill and scramble them.  
  • Step 7 – Cook Sausage – Add the sausage to the grill as well and break it up as it browns.  Stir in the red bell pepper and sauté it with the sausage.

  • Step 8 – Flip Dough – Flip the pizza dough. Top the pizza with 1 cup of the shredded cheese. 
  • Step 9 – Top with egg Mixture – Then evenly add on the scrambled eggs and the sausage and red pepper mixture. 
  • Step 10 – Add Cheese – Top the pizza with the remaining cheese. 
  • Step 11 – Cover and Grill – Cover the Blackstone Grill and cook for 5-7 minutes. Cook until the dough is light brown and the cheese is melted on the pizza. Bake time will vary over medium heat.

  • Step 12 – Serve and Enjoy – Remove the easy breakfast pizza from the grill. Top with the diced green onions. Slice and serve the pizza.  Enjoy!

Recipe Tips for Breakfast Pizza:

  • Pizza Dough – Prepare the dough and roll into a circle. Make sure to poke holes with a fork to prevent from bubbling.
  • Griddle – Preheat the griddle and place oil on it. This helps to prevent the dough from sticking to the griddle.
  • Cooking Dough – Cook the dough on the griddle on both sides.
  • Layering the Ingredients – Layer the ingredients evenly on the pizza dough. You can even do half the pizza with different toppings. Everyone in my family likes to make their own.

Yes, you can bake the breakfast pizza in a preheated oven. We like to cook the dough on a pizza stone, baking pan, or baking sheet for the best results. You can also cook on a pizza oven.

  • 1 Pound Pizza Dough store bought or homemade

  • Cover the Blackstone Grill and cook for 5-7 minutes until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted on the pizza.
  • Remove the pizza from the grill. Top with the diced green onions. Slice and serve the pizza.  Enjoy!
