Chipotle Burger Recipe:
We love grilling out burger patty and this chipotle chiles burger makes for a delicious burger. This burger is served on a toasted bun with all your favorite toppings.

Ingredients:
Serves: 6
For the Burgers:
- Lean Ground Beef
- Minced Chipotle Peppers (from a can of chipotles in adobo)
- Adobo Sauce (from the can of chipotles in adobo)
- Oil
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Ground Cumin
Make the Chipotle Sauce:
- Mayonnaise
- Sour Cream
- Lime (juiced)
- Chipotle Pepper in Adobo Sauce
- Paprika
- Salt
For Serving:
- Slices Pepper Jack Cheese
- Ripe Fresh Avocados sliced
- Lettuce Leaves
- Tomatoes sliced
- Hamburger Buns
- Butter (for the buns)
How to Make Chipotle Burger:
- Step 1 – Divide the ground beef into 6 even balls (approximately ⅓ lb each). Then form the balls into patties that are approximately 4 inches wide and 1 inch thick.

- Step 2 – Place the patties in the refrigerator (covered in plastic wrap) while you preheat the grill.
- Step 3 – Place all the chipotle sauce ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate while you prepare the burgers.

- Step 4 – Preheat the Grill over medium high heat (approximately 450-500 degrees F). Rub oil on the grill grates to prevent the patties from sticking to the grill.
- Step 5 – Season the patties with salt, pepper, garlic powder and ground cumin.

- Step 6 – Place the patties on the grill over direct heat. Cook for 4-8 minutes flipping the patties halfway through the cook time. Cook depending on how you like your burger cooked (see notes).

- Step 7 – Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the burgers are cooked to your preference.
- Step 8 – Add the cheese to the patties for the last minute of the cook time to melt the cheese. Remove the patties from the grill.

- Step 9 – Butter the buns and place them on the grill and cook for 1 minute until they are browned slightly. Watch them closely so that they do not burn.

- Step 10 – Spread the chipotle sauce onto the bottom bun. Then top with lettuce, a patty, tomato and sliced avocados.
- Step 11 – Serve immediately while warm and enjoy.

How do you know Chipotle Burger is done:
Here are the internal temperatures needed based on how you like your burgers prepared.
- Rare Burgers – 125 degrees F
- Medium-Rare Burgers – 135 degrees F
- Medium Burgers – 145 degrees F
- Well-Done Burgers – 160 degrees F

Recipe Tips:
- Oil – Use any oil with a high smoke point. Vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil or avocado oil will all work great in this recipe.
- Prepare Griddle – Preheat in grill and oil the grill grates. This prevents the burgers from sticking.
