Tips for the Best Burger:

  • Mixing Ingredients – Be careful not to over-mix the beef or the burgers will be tough.  Just mix with your hands until just combined in a large bowl.
  • Cooking Patties – Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the beef is cooked to a safe temperature before eating.
  • Prepare Grill – Heat grill to medium high heat and oiling the grates to prevent the patties from sticking.

The Best Beef to use for Burgers:

The best beef to use for burgers is ground chuck. We like to use ground chuck that is 80/20. Which means that the beef is 80% lean meant and 20% fat.

Using ground chuck makes the perfect burgers that are juicy and flavorful.

The Best Buns to use:

There are many different burger buns to use. You can choose from buns that are purchased at the grocery store or at your local bakery. These are some of our favorites.

  • Ciabatta Rolls
  • English Muffins
  • Kaiser Rolls
  • Potato Rolls
  • Sesame Seed Buns

How to Store Leftovers:

Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days. These burgers store easily. We recommend storing all the ingredients separately. Then when you are ready to serve, you can easily build your burger with fresh ingredients.

What to Serve with Burgers:

Burgers can be served with many different sides. If you are grilling out your burgers, you may want to make your sides on the grill as well. This makes for an easy cleanup.

  • Grilled French Fries
  • Roasted Vegetables
  • Grilled Potatoes in Foil
