Expert Tips

  • Grilling Chicken – It’s best to use an internal-read meat thermometer to make sure that the chicken has reached a safe internal temperature. The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees before serving.
  • Prepare Grill – Preheat the grill over medium high heat (400 degrees F) and rub the grill grates with oil to prevent the chicken from sticking onto the grill.
  • Prepare Chicken – Make sure that the chicken does not get over cooked based on the thickness of your chicken.  We recommend grilling chicken about the same size thickness to ensure that your grill chicken evenly.
  • Hoagie Buns – We like to serve this sandwich with toasted buns. You can easily toast on the grill with a little melted spread or place in the oven for an extra crunch my entire family loves.
  • Stove Top – If you prefer, you can also cook chicken on the stove top over medium heat in a cast iron skillet.

How Long to Marinate Chicken

After combining the marinade ingredients, coat the chicken completely with the marinade in a bowl or a large freezer bag. Allow the chicken to marinade for at least an hour for best results.

Place the chicken in the fridge while it marinades then it is ready to grill.
