Blackstone Chicken Stir Fry Recipe:

Blackstone stir fry chicken is a delicious blend of fresh vegetables, boneless skinless chicken breast, all mixed together with a stir fry sauce. All cooked together on the griddle and in less than 30 minutes dinner is done.

We love to cook recipes on our Blackstone Griddle. They turn out so flavorful and this stir fry recipe is one of our favorites. Combining the ingredients together on the griddle makes for an easy meal idea.

This recipe can easily be made on your stove top in a Wok or cast iron skillet. The vegetables cook tender and mixed with the stir fry sauce makes a healthy, family favorite meal idea. You might also like our Blackstone Beef Stir Fry or Blackstone Ground Beef Stir Fry.

Ingredients needed - chicken, salt and pepper, oil, broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, ginger, garlic sesame seeds, cornstarch, chicken broth, soy sauce, honey

Ingredients For the Chicken and Vegetables:

  • Boneless Chicken Breasts (diced into 1 inch pieces)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Avocado Oil 
  • Broccoli Florets (diced into bite size pieces)
  • Yellow Bell Pepper (cut into 1 inch pieces)
  • Red Bell Pepper (cut into 1 inch pieces)
  • Carrots (shredded)
  • Ground Ginger
  • Minced Garlic
  • Sesame Seeds

Ingredients For the Stir Fry Sauce:

  • Cornstarch
  • Chicken Broth
  • Soy Sauce
  • Honey

How to Make Chicken Stir Fry on Blackstone Griddle: 

  • Step 1 – In a small bowl, whisk together the stir fry sauce ingredients.  Set aside.  
Combining the stir fry sauce in a bowl with a bowl of chopped broccoli and chopped bell peppers
  • Step 2 – Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F). Spread the avocado oil out onto the grill. 
  • Step 3 – Place the broccoli and shredded carrots onto the grill.  Sauté for 2-3 minutes.  If you have a press, use the press to press down the broccoli to cook it quicker. Push vegetables to side of the griddle and allow to cook tender.

  • Step 4 – Add the chicken to the grill next to the broccoli.  Season it with salt and pepper.  Sauté for 3-5 minutes (flipping every minute) until the chicken is browned and cooked through.

  • Step 5 – Then add the peppers to the grill next to the chicken and sauté in the oil until tender (1-2 minutes).

  • Step 6 – Mix together the chicken and vegetables and add in the garlic and ground ginger.  Cook for 1 minute until the garlic is aromatic.

  • Step 7 – Then pour the stir fry sauce on top. Toss all the ingredients together to coat the chicken and vegetables with the sauce.  Cook for 1-2 minutes to thicken the sauce.

  • Step 8 – Remove from the grill.  Top with the sesame seed, serve over rice and enjoy!

How to Cook on the Stove Top:

We recommend using a cast iron skillet or a Wok as it is similar to the griddle but any skillet will work.

  • Heat and oil skillet then add in vegetables.
  • Cook vegetables tender.
  • Remove vegetables from skillet then add in diced chicken to cook.
  • Mix everything together including the vegetables and diced chicken.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetable mixture and heat.
  • Top with sesame seeds, serve and enjoy.

What to Serve with Chicken Stir Fry:

This stir fry recipe is a perfect one pot meal as everything cooks directory on the griddle. So we usually serve it with a simple side and different sauces. Here are some of our favorites.

Recipe Substitutions and Variations:

  • Change the Meat – We used chicken breast for this recipe, but you can easily use chicken thighs or chicken tenders.
  • Vegetables – This is a great recipe to use leftover vegetables. We have added in diced zucchini and sliced carrots.
  • Cooked Rice – Stir fry cooked rice with the mixture on the flat top. Stir fry rice with the vegetables and chicken and serve.
  • Use Beef – This stir fry would be delicious with beef or pork.
  • Soy Sauce Substitution – You can substitute soy sauce for coconut aminos.

Tips for the Best Chicken Stir Fry:

  • Cooking Chicken – We used an instant read meat thermometer to make sure that the chicken is cooked to a safe temperature (165 degrees F).
  • Chicken and Vegetables – We recommend cutting the chicken and vegetables about the same size. This make sure they cook evenly and tender.
  • Use Different Oil – You can easily use avocado oil, canola oil or coconut oil instead of the vegetable oil in this recipe.
  • Heat Blackstone – Make sure Blackstone is preheated before adding vegetables to griddle.
