  • Top Sirloin Steak – Feel free to use different cut of steak. Use ribeye, New York Strip or Stew Meat.

Variations Ideas

  • Kind of Steak – You can easily make this recipe with round steak or skirt steak for this recipe as well.
  • Teriyaki Sauce – We prefer to make Homemade Sauce, but you can use store bought as well.

Step by Step Instructions

  • Step 1 – In a small bowl, whisk together the sauce ingredients and set aside.

  • Step 2 – Preheat the Blackstone grill over Medium high heat (approximately 450 degrees Fahrenheit) and drizzle the tbsp of oil onto the grill.  Spread it around with a spatula.
  • Step 3 – Add the steak to the Blackstone on top of the oil. Season it with salt and pepper.

  • Step 4 – Cook the steak for 2 minutes without flipping it so that they get browned.

  • Step 5 – Then gently toss the steak and cook it for 2-3 more minutes until the steak is cooked through and browned.
  • Step 6 – Pour the sauce mixture on top of the steak on the Blackstone.  Toss to coat the steak with the sauce mixture. Stirring for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

  • Step 7 – Serve topped with the sesame seeds and green onions.  Enjoy!  

Recipe Tips

  • Steak – Cut the steak in about the same size pieces so that it cooks evenly.
  • Cooking time – Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the steak and your griddle. To check to see if your steak is done, use a meat thermometer.
  • Adding Sauce – When the steak is about done, add the sauce to the steak. Allow it to cook with the steak to create a delicious sauce.

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days. 

How to Make Steak Bites on Stovetop

After cutting the steak in bite size pieces in a heated cast iron pan. Add oil or butter to cook the steak in. Using a cast iron skillet is our recommendation but any skillet will work. Pour the homemade Teriyaki Sauce over the cooked steak and allow the sauce to thicken.

Why is my Teriyaki Beef tough?

When cooking the steak bites, they need to cooked on high heat quickly. After it browns continue to stir in the sauce this helps it to stay tender.
