Ingredients

Ingredients - ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire Sauce, Smoked Paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper
  • Ketchup – You can also use Homemade Ketchup
  • Honey – If you are out, substitute with maple syrup, molasses or brown sugar
  • Worcestershire Sauce – See Worcestershire Sauce substitute if you are out
  • Smoked Paprika – You can also use regular Paprika

How to Make Honey BBQ Sauce

Step 1 – Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Whisk to combine. Heat over medium heat and bring to a low boil.

Step 2 – Reduce the heat to medium-low heat and simmer until thickened (approximately 15-20 minutes), stir often. Cover with lid to prevent splashing.

  • Step 3 – Remove from heat, allow to cool and then the sauce is ready to serve and enjoy!

  • Combining Ingredients – Combine the ingredients in a large sauce pan and allow sauce to come to a boil. We like using a whisk to make sure everything is combined completely.
  • Sauce Consistency – All the sauce to simmer in the saucepan on the stovetop. This will allow the sauce to thicken as it simmers.
  • Serving – Allow the mixture to cool completely before storing and serving.
