How to Shape and Seasoned Patties:

After combining the seasoning ingredients for the hamburger patties, divide the mixture into 4 thick patties. They will come to about ½ pound each. By keeping the patties thick, this gives the patties a nice char when grilled.

Season the burgers well to ensure that they are full of flavor.

How Long to Grill a Burger:

Grill the burgers for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side. This allows for the burger to cook thoroughly. We allow the burger to cook at least 5 minutes on each side instead of continually flipping the burger.
