Steakhouse Burger Recipe
This easy Steakhouse burger recipe is made with ground beef that is mixed with Worcestershire Sauce, salt and pepper, and garlic powder. These ingredients combined gives the burger so much flavor.
These thick burgers are grilled and then topped with caramelized onions, delicious burger sauce and a slice of Muenster Cheese. These burgers are big, juicy and tender and always a crowd favorite.

What is Steakhouse Burger?
A Steakhouse Burger is a thicker burger patty that is loaded with flavor. It is a restaurant quality burger that is grilled to perfection. Restaurants usually make these delicious burgers that combined with sirloin, chuck and short ribs.
By combining simple ground beef with flavorful ingredients, you will get that restaurant quality burger at home.

Ingredients:
For the Patties:
- Ground Hamburger Beef (85% lean)
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
For the Caramelized Onions:
- White Onion (sliced thinly)
- Butter
- Worcestershire sauce
- Red Wine Vinegar
Burger Sauce:
- Mayonnaise
- Mustard
- Ketchup
For the Burgers:
- Muenster Cheese
- Brioche Buns
- Lettuce Leaves
- Tomato (sliced)
How to Make a Steakhouse Burger:
For the Onions and Sauce:
- Step 1 – Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, Worcestershire sauce and red wine vinegar. Cook and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft.
- Step 2 – Then uncover and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the excess liquid cooks off. Then set the onions aside.
- Step 3 – Mix together the burger sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
For the Burgers:
- Step 4 – Preheat a grill over medium heat (approximately 350-400 degrees F).
- Step 5 – Mix together the patty ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl. Then form the beef into 4 patties that are approximately ½ pound each.

- Step 6 – Place on the grill over direct heat and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until the patties reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Step 7 – Place a slice of muenster cheese on the patties for the last minute of the cooking time to melt the cheese.

- Step 8 – Place the hamburger buns on the grill for approximately 1 minute to toast the buns.
- Step 9 – Remove the buns. Spread the burger sauce on the bottom buns and top with the lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Top with beef patties and caramelized onions.
- Step 10 – Place the top bun on top and then the burgers are ready to serve and enjoy!

How to Shape and Seasoned Patties:
After combining the seasoning ingredients for the hamburger patties, divide the mixture into 4 thick patties. They will come to about ½ pound each. By keeping the patties thick, this gives the patties a nice char when grilled.
Season the burgers well to ensure that they are full of flavor.

How Long to Grill a Burger:
Grill the burgers for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side. This allows for the burger to cook thoroughly. We allow the burger to cook at least 5 minutes on each side instead of continually flipping the burger.
