Can You Cook Raw Chicken on a Blackstone Griddle?

Yes, raw chicken cooks very well on a Blackstone griddle. The flat-top surface allows the chicken to cook evenly and develop a golden crust.

For best results:

  • Preheat the Blackstone to about 400°F
  • Lightly oil the griddle
  • Cook chicken until the internal temperature reaches 165°F

Always use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is fully cooked before serving.

Ingredients

Ingredients needed - chicken breast, avocado oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper
  • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts – Filleting the chicken into thinner pieces helps it cook faster and more evenly on the Blackstone.
  • Avocado Oil – Avocado oil works well because it has a high smoke point, which is ideal for griddle cooking.
  • Garlic Powder – Adds flavor without burning on the hot griddle.
  • Salt & Pepper – Simple seasoning allows the natural flavor of the chicken to shine.

  • Loaded Chicken – Top the chicken with cheese, onions, bell peppers and slice mushrooms.

I guess I was on a roll for your recipes yesterday. I didn’t realize I was on the same site. I made the Honey bun cake and then I grilled this chicken. So easy and good! I am fairly new to Blackstone so I wanted something quick and tasty, not dry. I followed recipe exactly and for the first time my grilled chicken was good!
